🚨 School Bus Safety Reminder 🚨

The Troy Police Department has received multiple complaints of drivers passing stopped school buses while red lights are activated and students are loading or unloading. Under Missouri's Jessica's Law (RSMo § 304.050), drivers must stop for a school bus displaying its stop signal and remain stopped until the bus begins moving again or the driver signals traffic to proceed.

There will be zero tolerance for motorists who violate this law by passing a school bus with its stop arm extended and red lights activated. Enforcement action will be taken against violators.

Please slow down, stay alert during school transportation hours, and help keep our students safe. 🚌🛑

If you have information about specific areas and times where these violations are occurring, please contact Lt. Chad McCallister at 636-462-7674.
