Matthew Cobado is a level 2 (medium-risk) s*xually violent offender residing in Friendship, Allegany County. He was convicted in 2003 of 4 counts of R**e 1st Degree, Kidnapping 1st Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree and Aggravated Criminal Contempt. He kidnapped and forcefully r***d a 23 year old woman at gunpoint - he was sentenced to only 20 years to life in prison.

Matthew Cobado only served about 18 years of his sentence. He is now listed as residing at an address of 61 E Main St #3 in Friendship, NY 14739. If you are a parent with children, a teenage girl, woman or any vulnerable person, please stay far away from this predator and address.

Survivor's Story: I Was Molested by a Family Friend

Hi,

I want to remain anonymous but reading some of the stories posted by others has inspired me to speak up. Finally. I was s*xually molested by a family friend when I was 8 years old. I don't really remember much before that. We had very little contact to be honest. He was just always around at parties or gatherings. I think he was in his 20s. There came a time where my aunt was having a new house built in a new development. Most of the houses were unfinished but close to being finished. Not just studs. But we had come for the day to check out the progress and my aunt wanted to share some finishings she wanted the contractors to do. I tagged along with my brother, who was 5 years old at the time. My aunt also brought this family friend's mom and the family friend in question with us. The adults went off with the contactor to discuss the construction while I stayed back with my brother. We were playing with some toys I brought with us in one of the finished bedrooms when the family friend came into the room and closed the door. He smiled and asked us what we were doing. I was a very quiet child who didn't like most people so I said "nothing," and went back to playing with my baby brother. The family friend sits down in the corner of the room and watches us. He told us to come closer and I glared. No. I did not want to spend my time with this guy at all. I turn my back to him. I hear something unzipper. I turn around and this family friend has his jeans undone and his p***s out. He puts it in my face and tells me to touch it. I said NO. He told my brother to touch it. I grabbed his little hands and held him tightly, pulling away from this person. I remember they were sticky with candy. He grabbed my face and forced my mouth open. I had no idea what was happening all I knew was that it was WRONG and I didnt want any parts of it, nor did I want my baby brother exposed to this. All I could think about was my baby brother. So I did the only thing I could think of and bit down. HARD. The person screamed and called me a stupid little bitch. I grabbed my brother and dragged us out of that house. I never spoke a word of this until I knew this guy was dead. Died from prostate cancer. Go figure huh. This single event has completely fu**ed me up for my entire life and will continue to do so. My brother doesn't remember anything. If one good thing came out of this, it's that. He doesn't remember. If I could go back I think I would have said something to an adult. I think I could have at least gotten therapy for my trauma. I wish I would have done that honestly. Because living with this event has truly scarred me for life. All I can say is this....parents, if your kids trust you enough to come to you if something like this happens....please believe them. Help them. Carrying this darkness alone is an absolute nightmare and I don't wish it on my worst enemies. Thank you for sharing.

David "DJ" Grover is a level 2 (medium-risk) predicate s*x offender residing in Buffalo, Erie County. He was convicted in 2013 of 1 count of Kidnapping 2nd Degree. He kidnapped and forcefully s*xually abused a 5 year old girl. He was sentenced to just 15 years in prison.

At the time of this conviction, David Grover was already a registered s*x offender previously convicted of 1 count of Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd Degree.
