Today is Memorial Day. This U.S. federal holiday is observed on the last Monday of May to honor the men and women who have died while serving in the military, particularly those who died in battle or as a result of wounds sustained in battle.

In other words, the purpose of Memorial Day is to memorialize the veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Consider how we can support and safeguard grieving families and loved ones who are left behind, as well as reflect on why we have the freedom that we enjoy today.

Troy Borough Office will be closed Friday 5/22/26 due to Staff obligations, and Monday 5/25/26 in observance of Memorial Day. “We are forever in debt to those who serve and have served”. 🫡 🇺🇸

CODE RED ALERT: Troy Borough will be working to make repairs on a 4” water line today, May 16th. This should affect mostly the downtown business area of our water system. Depending on the extent, it could reach from Shannon Tire to the Dandy at Rt. 6/14. Some customers in the Borough can expect to experience low water pressure due to this repair effort. We will be in a boil status until notified. 🪏 🚧
