The Truckee Tahoe Airport Airshow was a lot of fun yesterday. The US Army Golden Knights were such a wonderful group of people—so polite, and very kind and generous with their time for us fans!

But the most wonderful part of the day for me was watching my boardmate and good friend, Mary Hetherington, get recognized by the Golden Knights for her two decades of public service to our community! (I expect the airport will be posting some photos from that, so watch that feed in the coming days.) Our fellow board directors, Kat Rohlf and Greg Horvath were also on hand to watch Mary's ceremony.

I have so much respect for everyone who participated in the show, with extra special thanks to our staff, who worked for many months to make this new version of the show work so well.

P.S. Happy Father's Day, dads!

The Truckee Tahoe Airport District's airshow returns this Saturday, June 20. Thank you to 101.5 FM KTKE www.truckeetahoeradio.com for helping to spread the word!

Back after a one-year break, the 2026 Truckee Tahoe AirShow & Family Festival takes place on Saturday 20 June 2026 at the Truckee Tahoe Airport!

The event will feature civilian aerobatics, warbirds, and military static displays along with food and merchandise vendors for the entire family to enjoy.

Static Displays will be filled with homebuilts, military, and civilian aircraft spanning nearly 100 years of aviation history.

Admission is FREE; parking is available for a donation.

HELP SHAPE TAHOE FOREST HOSPITAL: Tahoe Forest Health System is asking community members to participate in small focus groups on April 13–14. Sessions are 90 minutes, focused on Primary Care or Pediatric Care. Participants get a light meal and a $25 gift card.
