TRUMANN POLICE DEPARTMENT

On June 17, 2026, officers with the Trumann Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at Smokes To***co Store, located at 1714 Highway 69 in Trumann.

As a result of the investigation, Trumann officers executed a search warrant on June 22, 2026, at a residence located at 15 Viva Drive in Trumann. Following the search, an arrest warrant was obtained for Willie Ray Jones, who resides at the same address, charging him with Aggravated Robbery.

On June 23, 2026, officers received information that Jones was in the Bald K**b area of White County. That information was immediately forwarded to the Bald K**b Police Department. Bald K**b officers quickly located Jones and took him into custody without incident.

Jones has since been transported to Trumann by Trumann Police Department officers and is currently being held in the Trumann City Jail awaiting formal court proceedings.

The Trumann Police Department would like to thank the Bald K**b Police Department for their assistance and cooperation in the apprehension of this suspect.

The Trumann Police Department Code Enforcement Division is pleased to announce the successful resolution of a long-standing property concern located at 605 West Speedway.

The structure had become dilapidated and had fallen into a significant state of disrepair, creating concerns regarding public safety, neighborhood appearance, and overall community standards. As a result, a condemnation proceeding was initiated, and the Trumann City Council subsequently voted to condemn the structure.

Following the condemnation action, a new owner acquired the property and took the initiative to raze and remove the structure, bringing the property back into compliance and contributing to the continued improvement of our community.

The Trumann Police Department Code Enforcement Division would like to express its sincere appreciation to the property owner for taking responsible action to address the issue. Voluntary compliance and responsible property ownership play a vital role in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and appearance of our city.

We encourage all property owners to remain proactive in maintaining their properties. Responsible stewardship not only protects property values but also helps create a safer and more attractive environment for everyone who lives, works, and visits our community.

The continued progress throughout Trumann is a direct result of cooperation between citizens, property owners, city leadership, and municipal departments working together toward a common goal.

The Trumann Police Department remains committed to enforcing city ordinances fairly and consistently while working alongside citizens to preserve and enhance the quality of life throughout our community.

Together, we can continue building a cleaner, safer, and stronger Trumann.

🚨 ATTENTION TRUMANN RESIDENTS 🚨

Due to the number of roadways throughout the city that have flooded and became hazardous for travel, we want to remind everyone:

🚓 **Turn Around, Don't Drown!** 🚓

If you encounter a flooded roadway, do not attempt to drive through it. Just a small amount of moving water can sweep a vehicle off the roadway, and conditions beneath the water may be impossible to see. Water can also cause vehicles to stall in a flooded roadway which can be very dangerous as water levels rise.

Officers have already responded to numerous traffic accidents this morning as a result of the dangerous conditions. We join the National Weather Service in urging residents to avoid travel unless it is absolutely necessary for safety.

Please slow down, use extreme caution, and never drive around barricades or warning signs. Your safety is our top priority.

Stay alert, stay safe, and help us spread the word by sharing this post.

Property Improvement Update: 640 South Ozark

The Trumann Police Department Code Enforcement Division would like to recognize and express its sincere appreciation to a property owner whose proactive efforts have positively impacted our community.

The property located at 640 South Ozark was recently purchased by an individual who immediately took steps to improve the site by removing the old structure and thoroughly cleaning the property without the need for formal enforcement action.

These voluntary efforts demonstrate a strong sense of community pride and responsible property ownership. Taking the initiative to invest in and improve properties throughout Trumann contributes to safer neighborhoods, enhances property values, and creates a more attractive environment for everyone who lives, works, and visits our city.

The Trumann Police Department Code Enforcement Division is extremely grateful for citizens who choose to be proactive and address issues before government intervention becomes necessary. Partnerships between property owners and the community are essential to maintaining the progress we continue to see throughout Trumann.

The Trumann Police Department Code Enforcement Division is pleased to announce the successful resolution of a long-standing nuisance property located at 233 Birch Street.

This structure had been the subject of numerous citizen complaints over an extended period of time due to its deteriorated condition. The residence was dilapidated, in severe disrepair, and had become uninhabitable, creating concerns for the surrounding neighborhood and the overall quality of life within our community.

After a thorough review, a condemnation proceeding was initiated, and the Trumann City Council subsequently voted to condemn the structure.

We are appreciative that the property owner took responsibility and fully complied with the order by razing and removing the structure. Their cooperation has eliminated a blighted property and helped improve the appearance, safety, and overall well-being of the neighborhood.

The Trumann Police Department Code Enforcement Division would like to thank property owners who proactively maintain and invest in their properties. Responsible ownership plays a vital role in protecting property values, enhancing neighborhood pride, and making Trumann a better place for everyone to live, work, and raise a family.

Our department remains committed to working with residents and property owners to address nuisance properties throughout the city while encouraging voluntary compliance whenever possible.

Excellent work by our Criminal Investigation Division.

Moore is charged with entering the Trumann Walmart on three separate occasions this week and leaving the store with more than $10,000 worth of stolen jewelry.

Detectives Nelson and Robinson successfully identified and located Moore within 24 hours of being notified of the thefts. Through their investigation, detectives also learned that Moore is a suspect in similar incidents at multiple Walmart locations throughout the Mid-South. At the time of Moore's arrest, detectives recovered approximately $8,000 worth of jewelry and $6,500 in cash.

In a separate investigation, Ware is charged with entering the Trumann Walmart on June 4 and June 10 and stealing nearly $2,000 worth of merchandise. At the time of Ware's arrest, detectives recovered approximately $3,000 in cash.

We would like to commend Detectives Nelson and Robinson for their outstanding investigative work, dedication, and quick response in bringing these cases to a successful resolution. Their efforts reflect the professionalism, commitment, and determination of the Trumann Police Department in protecting our community and holding offenders accountable.

The Trumann Police Department Code Enforcement Division is pleased to announce the successful resolution of a long-standing nuisance property located at 149 Betty Street.

This structure had been the subject of numerous complaints from residents due to its condition and the concerns it created within the neighborhood. Following an inspection and review of the property, a condemnation proceeding was initiated. The matter was presented to the Trumann City Council, which subsequently voted to condemn the structure.

We are pleased to report that the property owner complied with the City's order and took responsibility for the property by razing and removing the structure. As a result, the property has been brought into compliance, helping improve the safety, appearance, and overall quality of life within the neighborhood.

The Trumann Police Department Code Enforcement Division sincerely appreciates property owners who take responsibility for maintaining their properties and who work cooperatively to address code violations. Voluntary compliance is always our preferred outcome and is often the most efficient and cost-effective solution for everyone involved.

We encourage all property owners to regularly inspect and maintain their properties to prevent conditions that may become unsafe, unsanitary, or detrimental to surrounding neighborhoods. By taking proactive steps, property owners can help preserve property values, enhance community pride, and avoid the need for official enforcement action.
