For years, our Tactical Challenge Cadet Team has represented the City of Bridgeport with pride, discipline, and heart. These young men and women have shown what our youth can achieve when they are given guidance, support, and a mission bigger than themselves. This journey has never been just about trophies — it’s been about building character, leadership, and belief.

2025 – 2nd Place

Under the leadership of Officer Cetti, and with the dedication and support of Officer Berrios, our Tactical Team has grown in both strength and spirit. Together, alongside Officer Vazquez, Officer Cruz, Officer Silva, and Officer Singh, they have helped shape a program rooted in discipline, learning, and excellence. Each advisor has poured time, patience, and mentorship into our cadets, and we are truly grateful for their commitment.

Year after year, our cadets have shown up to the NERLEEA Tactical Challenge ready to work, ready to learn, and ready to represent. They compete with humility, courage, and unity — and the results speak for themselves.

Bridgeport may not always be recognized as the city that shines the brightest, but our cadets continue to prove that greatness grows here. Their perseverance, teamwork, and heart reflect the very best of our community and our department.

This program is about more than competition. It is about guiding our youth into leaders — leaders who carry themselves with integrity, confidence, and pride in where they come from. Whether we place first or not, our presence is always felt, because our cadets lead with purpose.

Support the Bridgeport Police Cadets

After exceeding our goal back in April, we’re coming back to the same spot to do it again — and we’d love your support.

Friday - June 20th| 12PM – 6PM

Our cadets will be out raising funds to help cover:
• Police Academy Boot Camp
• Travel and competition expenses
• Equipment and training supplies

Every dollar helps us invest in youth who are stepping up, learning discipline, leadership, and community service.

This Thursday, we’re hittin’ the streets for our Annual Cadet Fundraising Drive—and we need YOUR support!

Our cadets will be posted up at every corner, raising funds for:

Our hearts are heavy with grief today as we say farewell to K-9 Officer Uno. For 8 incredible years, Uno Faithfully served the Bridgeport community, always ready to protect and serve with his unwavering loyalty and dedication. Officer Cetti was his rock, providing guidance and care for their incredible partnership. Uno’s keen senses and keen instincts made him a true guardian angel on two legs.

But Uno’s impact extended far beyond his patrol duties. As a mentor to our police cadets, he taught future officers the importance of discipline, teamwork, and the honor of the badge. His passing leaves a huge void, but his legacy of service and bravery will endure.
