Some wish stories come full circle in the most beautiful ways. 💙

When Evie wished to become a pediatric oncologist, she stepped into the world of the doctors who had cared for her with compassion and hope. During that experience, she met a young patient named Brookie — a brief but meaningful connection no one knew would matter so many years later.

Later, Brookie’s own wish was granted: a camper for her family to enjoy precious time together. Only then did the connection become clear. The little girl Evie had met during her wish experience had become a wish child too.

Their story is a powerful reminder that a wish is never just one moment. It creates ripples of hope, connection, and joy that can last for years. ✨

Today we celebrate Natalia, whose incredible courage and resilience has inspired us all. After bravely battling a brain tumor and finishing her very last round of chemotherapy, Natalia is finally off to The Walt Disney World Resort for a well-deserved adventure! 🌟

Her journey is a testament to hope and determination, and we couldn’t be happier for this exciting chapter ahead. Dance your way through Disney, Natalia, and have the time of your life! 💙

At Make-A-Wish Connecticut, we believe that a child’s emotional well-being is integral in their physical fight against a critical illness.

Research shows that wishes have a positive impact on the emotional well-being of wish kids, their families and those involved in a wish. With the hope of a wish, children with critical illnesses discover renewed optimism for brighter days ahead. Like Evan whose wish to go to the Walt Disney World Resort was a welcomed escape. Evan said "it made me feel free"💙
