Once a wish kid, always part of the Make-A-Wish family. 💙⭐

15-year-old Maggie recently visited The Wishing Place to hang her alumni star! Her wish to have a therapy horse came true two years ago, and now her star has a special place alongside those of fellow wish alumni. 🐴✨

Pam Keough and Tara Navara recently visited the Trefz Foundation to recognize the lasting support of Joan Trefz and the Ernest & Joan Trefz Foundation with a special award of appreciation. 💙

We are incredibly grateful for Joan’s legacy of generosity and for the Foundation’s continued support of our mission and Connecticut wish families.

💫 A wish is more than a moment of joy.

Research shows that a wish can help children build the emotional and physical strength they need to face a critical illness. 💙

A wish isn't just a celebration. It's an important part of a child's journey.

What does the power of a wish mean to you? ✨

The best adventures are even better with friends! 💙

5-year-old Colton wished for something not only for himself but something all his friends could enjoy too: a playset where they could all have fun outside together! 🛝🌟

Today is DAF Day! 💙

If you have a donor-advised fund, today is a reminder of just how much those charitable dollars can mean to the more than 275 local children waiting for their wish.

Your DAF grant can help bring hope, strength and joy to a Connecticut child facing critical illness — and create an impact that lasts long after the wish itself.

Five-year-old Diego had one special wish: to have a puppy of his own. And thanks to the generosity of our community, his wish came true!

Diego was so excited to meet his new best friend and got everything he needed to start this exciting adventure. A special thank you to Safari Stan's Pet Center for helping make Diego's puppy wish come true, and to Tractor Supply Co. for generously donating a shopping spree filled with supplies for his new furry companion.

From puppy kisses to endless cuddles, Diego and his puppy are already creating memories that will last a lifetime. 🐾✨

Twelve wishes, twelve stories of hope, courage, and joy. Each one made possible right here in Connecticut this September. 💙

Whether it was a new puppy, a shopping spree, a Quinceañera, or a trip to Greece, supporters like YOU helped make these wishes come true.

Every wish granted is a reminder that together, we can turn challenges into moments of celebration and strength. Thank you to our volunteers, donors, and partners for believing in brighter days. Discover how you can help at ct.wish.org/get-involved

In 2023, Evie's wish was to be a pediatric oncologist.
But her wish didn't end when the day was over.

The connections and experiences that began with her wish helped set Evie on a path that has continued ever since. From interning at The Jackson Laboratory as a genomic researcher, to founding 'Cancer Starts with Can', becoming a published children's book author, and now beginning her next chapter as a student at MIT.

Her goal? To continue pursuing the science that could one day help change the lives of children facing critical illnesses.

It all started with a wish.

This DAF Day, consider making Make-A-Wish Connecticut part of your giving. Make a lifetime of impact at ct.wish.org/DAF
