April 28, 2026 Update:
In November 2025, Trumbull voters considered a proposal to construct a new Senior and Community Center, but the referendum did not pass. To better understand residents’ priorities before any future proposal is developed, the Town Council in a bipartisan 19-1 vote passed a resolution at its February 2, 2026 meeting to commission an independent survey to be conducted by the Siena Research Institute/ReconMR. The cost of the survey is approximately $25,000. For further information about the cost of the survey, please see the Public Works Committee minutes from January 26, 2026, here: https://www.trumbull-ct.gov/AgendaCenter/ViewFile/Minutes/_01262026-5979 and the Town Council minutes from February 2, 2026, here: https://www.trumbull-ct.gov/AgendaCenter/ViewFile/Minutes/_02022026-5976
This survey will be conducted during the week of May 4, 2026. Residents may receive a call from a local 203 or 475 number, and any text message will come from 203‑780‑6798. All survey results will be publicly released, including a full presentation to the Town Council in June.
