Truro Firefighters Local 5281

Yesterday afternoon at roughly 530pm the Truro Fire Department received multiple calls for a fire at Adventure Bound Campgrounds. Truro Engine 1 and Tanker 1 arrived to a fully involved trailer fire. Fire was knocked down by Truro crews with the assistance of Provincetown’s Ladder 1 and Wellfleet Tanker 1. There were no injuries reported, and the cause of the fire is still being investigated.

Truro Local 5281 extends our sincere condolences to the members of the Boston Fire Department and to the family and loved ones of Firefighter Kilduff, who was tragically lost in a Dorchester fire last night.

Rest easy, Brother. We’ll take it from here.

At approximately 11:20 AM on May 5, 2026, the Truro Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 446 Route 6 in Truro. Mutual aid companies from Wellfleet and Provincetown also responded to assist.

Crews arrived on scene and quickly brought the fire under control. Provincetown Ladder 1 assisted with ventilation and overhaul operations.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

The Truro Fire Department would like to thank our mutual aid partners for their rapid response and assistance.
