We hope you'll join us for September's Lunch and Learn at the library! This month, we have a very important topic that everyone should know: how to avoid fraud. Make an impact on your community: Join the 2026 Bookin' It 5K🏅

If you're looking for a way to help your community this fall, then look no further! You're invited to join us at this year's Bookin' It 5K hosted by the Friends of the Trussville Library. This is their biggest fundraiser of the year, and the one that has the most impact on supporting the library! Whether you're looking to run, volunteer, or sponsor, we hope you'll join us October 10th as we run for reading and so much more (take a look at these pics to see how the race has helped your library grow)!

We're excited to announce that we'll be filming some fun videos in the library on September 1st with the support of Trussville Living Magazine! Video content will be used for library promotional material, and we'd love to have you be a part of our story by filling our spaces! Check out the computer lab, read in the stacks, or do some hard work at our tables and in study rooms--however you like to use the library, we want to see it.

If you're not interested in being a part of the filming process, no worries! Just let a staff member know on filming day and we'll be sure to keep the spotlight off you.

This week is hard. Dolly was such an incredible, influential person that inspired so many of us. Her Imagination Library is what brought a love of reading to generations of kids and will continue to do so after her passing. Over 330 million books have been given to children because of her, and we hope our library can continue her mission to inspire the love of books that she had. We invite you to stop by the library and share what made you love Dolly, and maybe check out a book or movie about her remarkable life.🦋

And though we don't have a full display for the iconic Tim Curry, he's played no less of a role in shaping our lives. We urge you to stop and talk to our staff this week about his best works and decades of awe he inspired, and to pick up one of his films from our collection.🎈🖤
