📢 What’s Happening with Livsey? Here’s What Families Need to Know
Dekalb County Public Schools’ proposed Student Assignment Plan (SAP) includes a major change for our community—an expansion of Livsey Elementary and a potential merger with Midvale Elementary on Livsey’s campus.
At a high level, this proposal could:
🏫 Increase student population and capacity at Livsey
🔄 Shift attendance zones, including some students being redistricted
đźš— Impact traffic flow, carpool, and overall campus safety
🏗️ Bring construction and transition timelines that may affect current students and families
While growth and investment in our schools are important, it’s critical that it’s done thoughtfully, safely, and with clear communication to families.
