Soccer excitement is building across metro Atlanta this summer, and here in Tucker Summit CID, we’re proud to have a special place that has brought families and the community together for generations.

Triumph Soccer Park, made possible through a land donation from H.A. Pattillo and his sons — developers of Stone Mountain Industrial Park and Tucker Summit CID’s first member — continues to serve as a gathering place for young athletes, weekend games and lifelong memories right here in our district.

As fans from around the world celebrate the beautiful game this summer, it’s a great reminder that the love of soccer starts right here at home.

This month, we’re recognizing Kris Miller for his continued service on the Tucker Summit CID board of directors!

As President of Ackerman & Co. (ackermanandco) since 1998, Kris has helped lead the firm’s investment, management and leasing strategy for decades. His extensive commercial real estate experience and long-standing leadership bring valuable perspective to the CID and the local business community.

Congratulations to Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC) on 40 years of service and impact.

For four decades, FODAC has helped improve lives by providing medical equipment and support to individuals and families across the region. As a valued organization within the Tucker Summit CID, their work has made a meaningful difference for countless people.

We’re grateful to have FODAC as part of the Tucker community and celebrate this milestone anniversary with them.

Fresh seasonal color is on the way!

Our landscaping partner, Southern Care Lawn & Landscape, recently planted new crepe myrtles throughout the district that will soon be in bloom, bringing seasonal color and enhancing the overall look and feel of the area. These improvements help create a more attractive, welcoming corridor for everyone who lives, works and travels through Tucker.

It’s one more way the community continues investing in a stronger, more vibrant district.

Two great opportunities are coming up this week from City of Tucker - Government for local businesses, property owners and community members looking to stay connected to what’s happening in Tucker.

The Opportunity Tucker Development Summit on May 6 at Northlake Mall will focus on growth, development and future investment across the city.

The Small Business Resources Expo on May 7 at Stone Ridge Event Center will connect attendees with helpful resources, local organizations and support for small business success.

Events like these help strengthen the local business community and keep Tucker moving forward.

Good news for the district: lighting improvements are one step closer for the North and South Royal Atlanta Drive corridor.

The City of Tucker - Government recently approved the North-South Royal Industrial Streetlight District, which will bring long-needed streetlights to an area where better lighting has been a consistent priority for businesses and property owners. These upgrades will help improve visibility and create a safer environment for employees, customers and everyone traveling through the corridor.

According to Georgia Power, construction could begin within the next 90 days. We’re excited to see this important project continue moving forward and will share updates along the way.
