Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms out there, especially those supporting our staff from the outside. Shout out to Capt. Cantrell Bass for the great idea to fire up the grill today for the hardworking crew on B Shift here at the Larry B. Norris Unit. Bringing a little taste of home to the team behind these walls is the least that could be done to celebrate the day. To every mother sacrificing and holding down the fort on this day, your strength keeps this team moving forward!

This week, our team came together to show appreciation for the outstanding work performed at our unit. We want to congratulate everyone who won a gift card……well deserved. Not everyone is built to work in correctional security or to serve as a correctional nurse. It takes strength, compassion, resilience, and a level of dedication that not everyone can give. Thank you all for showing up every day with commitment and heart. I pray blessings over each of you. Thank you for your hard work and for everything you do.

We would like to express our appreciation to the officer and acknowledge all that they have done. Director Payne, thank you for coming by and showing the officers how much you value their hard work and dedication. Your presence reminded everyone that their service truly matters and that their sacrifices do not go unnoticed, strengthening the bond between leadership and those who serve and inspiring them to continue giving their very best. The Larry B. Norris Unit would like to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who came together to celebrate the life of Mr. Randy Watson. Your presence, support, and love meant so much during this difficult time. Please continue to keep his immediate family and his work family lifted up as we walk through this season of sorrow.The balloon ceremony held in his honor was a beautiful tribute to a life that touched so many. Mr. Watson will be truly missed, and his memory will continue to live on in all of us.💔👏💔

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved colleague and dear friend, Randall Watson.

Mr. Watson served as the Human Resources Manager at the Norris Unit, but to so many of us, he was far more than his title—he was a trusted friend, mentor, and an unwavering presence within our ADC family. His dedication to ADC spanned more than 40 years, including his distinguished service as a Warden before retiring and returning to continue his work in Human Resources at the Norris Unit.

Mr. Watson’s deep love for ADC, his commitment to serving others, and the lasting impact he made on countless lives will never be forgotten. His legacy of leadership, compassion, and dedication will continue to be felt for years to come. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him.

During this difficult time, we ask that you keep Mr. Watson’s family, friends, and all who loved him in your thoughts and prayers as we mourn this tremendous loss.

Services will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Roller Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.
