The Tucker Days Festival is underway! The Tucker Optimist Club organizes the opening parade each year, and this year was absolutely wonderful!

Hi Tucker Optimist Club! Sat., May 2nd is Tucker Day! "Where everybody knows your name." - what a great theme this year! 😄
Our booth needs volunteers from between 7:45am (help with the parade which is always a hoot!) through 4:15pm (help breakdown the booth, it's easy.)
With this year's theme, we're setting up a big board for people to write their name and we're taking insta-photos to match! We have kids keeping busy at the booth filling out this "See My Heart's Joy" printout and decorating other arts n' crafts.
Depending on when you volunteer, you'd be helping with set up, the parade, spending time at the booth with the kids, and/or breakdown. Please comment here or IM Pamela Martel McNall if you're able to help, thank you so much!

The Tucker Optimist Club is honored to donate 14 graduation "party packs" for families of HS grads this May! Principal Parker and Dr. Johnson will get these awesome items into the right hands. The packs include graduation themed table cloths, banners, cups, napkins, and large & small plates. What a wonderful visual, seeing families enjoying graduation day! Congratulations Tucker High School Graduates!

The Tucker Optimist Club donated three new music stands to Tucker High School's band room. The students were thrilled because a # of their old stands are broken. The timing was perfect to help these students enjoy their musical talents! Congratulations Tucker High School Band! We'll see you in the parade at Tucker Days !

A good # of Tucker Optimist Club members enjoyed the Gateway District conference in Augusta this weekend! Really smart projects were brainstormed for all of us to bring back to our clubs👍👍

Who's got 5 minutes a day and an opinion??? The Tucker Optimist Club (TOC) has partnered with HundredX for fundraising so we can continue to help our community. The premise = fill out short surveys about brands you wear, eat, drink, or go to, every single day. That's it!

Part Two! The filling of the handmade bags was a huge success. :) Big thanks to Easy Going Sewing and their volunteers who made these beautiful bags, and big thanks to our Optimist volunteers for buying and filling them - all for our local homeless. Tucker really knows how to come together for their community.

What a creative and magical night! Our partnership with Easy Going Sewing to make handmade bags for local homeless was a huge success. Big thanks to all who volunteered their time to make beautiful bags for us to pack and give to people in need. The quality of the bags is AMAZING.

The Tucker Optimist Club has had an annual tradition of raising funds to give holiday gift cards and baskets to families who need it from Henderson Middle School and Tucker High School. We're thrilled we were able to give away twelve $25 gift cards, six to each school! At Henderson they were added to these holiday boxes for families. We love this tradition -- and are thrilled to help our extended Tucker community.
