All over social media we see opinions about who will win the presidency based on nothing but feelings.

In 2016 everyone swore Hillary Clinton was guaranteed the presidency in a landslide and if folks only received their news from Facebook and cable news, no one could fault them. But the polling data showed a different story. Aggregate polling in fact showed it was 50/50 at best and accurately predicted the results down to the state.

While the Nation was distracted by controversy surrounding the SCOTUS hearings last week, Republicans in the Senate voted to cut 1.5 trillion dollars from Medicare and Medicaid to pay for record breaking giveaways to Corporations and the one percent.

"Along strict party lines, the Republican-controlled Senate on Thursday night voted to pass a sweeping budget measure—one criticized as both "despicable" and "horrific" for providing massive giveaways to corporations and the super-rich while eviscerating funding for social programs, healthcare, education, and affordable housing."

If nothing else it's a signal for wealthy donors to keep those campaign campaign contributions coming. Be involved.

The Republican budget, declared Sen. Sanders after its passage, "is not a bad bill. It's a horrific bill."
