“Mom is still independent. It’s not time yet.”
We hear this a lot—and independence is a wonderful thing. 🤍
But needing memory care doesn’t always mean someone needs help with everything.
Mom or Dad may still walk independently, get dressed, eat on their own, and enjoy the things they’ve always loved…while beginning to need more supervision, redirection, structure, or support to stay safe.
The goal of memory care shouldn’t be to take away independence. It should be to protect and support the independence they still have.
