Small businesses in Tucson are being crushed while City Council keeps pushing the wrong priorities. Propositions 418 and 419 keep a permanent sales tax in place that makes everything more expensive for local shoppers and hurts neighborhood businesses.
At the same time, our city is failing to address the growing homelessness crisis. Small businesses are dealing with vandalism, theft, unsafe conditions, and customers staying away. Instead of fixing these problems, City Hall keeps asking working families and small businesses to pay more.
Free city buses are not the solution. They have turned into rolling shelters, putting bus drivers and riders at risk while doing nothing to solve homelessness. Charging fares again would restore accountability, improve safety, and help fund transit responsibly.
Sales taxes hurt small businesses first. When prices go up, customers spend less or shop outside the city. Big corporations can survive it. Small businesses cannot.
Tucson needs real solutions. Support small businesses. Address homelessness
responsibly. Make transit safe and sustainable.
Vote NO on Propositions 418 and 419.
Take back our city. Take back our community. 857Tucson Jordan Ochoa
