This follows a June 3 public hearing, where the Commission heard public feedback and asked Tucson Planning and Development Services staff to review the comments and conduct additional research before returning for further consideration. Join in person or online.

CODE Tucson '26 is a community-driven effort to modernize and streamline Tucson's development codes, covering everything from housing and parking to design standards and land use.

Tomorrow, the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on a proposed amendment to Tucson's Unified Development Code (UDC) that would establish zoning standards and regulations for large-scale data centers.

This is an opportunity for the public to weigh in before the Commission makes its recommendation, which will then advance to Mayor and Council for final consideration and adoption.

The hearing will be held on June 3, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall (255 W Alameda St) in the Mayor and Council Chambers. The meeting is hybrid, so you can attend in person or participate virtually.

Can't make the meeting? Written comments are also accepted. Email [email protected] with the hearing date (6/3/26), case name (Regulations for Large-Scale Data Centers), and your name. Written comments must be received by 5:00 p.m. this evening, June 2, 2026.

TDC Online, the Tucson Planning and Development Services online permitting system portal, is scheduled for downtime starting tonight at 5 p.m. This is the first of two scheduled maintenance windows:

*️⃣ Tonight, Wednesday, May 27, 5 p.m. to Thursday, May 28, 5 a.m.
*️⃣ Thursday, May 28, 5 p.m. to Friday, May 29, 5 a.m.

The portal will be back up by 5 a.m. each following morning.
