Be patient with yourself.

You're doing more than you give yourself credit for. You're carrying things that other people may never see. You're learning, growing, and showing up, even on the days when it's hard.

Healing isn't a straight line. Wellness isn't a finish line.

You're allowed to take it one day, one breath, one small step at a time.

Sometimes the most caring thing we can do is listen.

Most of us are not great listeners, even when we mean well. We're often half-listening while we plan what to say next, or thinking about how a story relates to something that happened to us, or jumping in with advice before the other person has even finished telling us what's going on. It's not malice, it's just that listening well is harder than it looks.

The next time someone in your life is going through something, try listening a little longer before you say anything, and notice how the conversation shifts when they feel like you're actually with them.

People rarely need us to fix what they're going through, but they almost always need to feel less alone in it. The next time someone you love is going through something, try listening a little longer before saying anything at all.

A short walk can do more than we might expect.

Stepping outside, even for a few minutes, can help clear your head, ease tension, and reset your mood.

You don't need a goal or a destination. Just movement, fresh air, and a little time with your own thoughts.

Tucson mornings and evenings are a good time to step out before the heat settles in.
