We are a free, public charter K-8 school with a small-school atmosphere and emphasis in STEM education. Our staff members have worked together for many years, and have created a sense of community between students, families, and staff. ed on STEM education -- science, engineering, technology and math -- and college prep, with instruction in writing and the arts, and opportunities for healthy physical activity. We offer a learner-centered education with an emphasis on outcomes, visual aids, and technology integrated education. Our A-rated school participates in statewide and national math, science, and art competitions. We focus on skill-level education with individualized instruction. We emphasize a scientific approach, hands-on work, computer literacy and the ability of students to use data and articulate a thesis. As a public charter school, SSA is tuition-free and open to the public.
