Mustangs for Change is having another fundraiser on February 27th from 4:30-8:00 PM. The Peter Piper Pizza on Broadway is giving back 15% of all sales to Miles for the purchase of a school mascot!

: Meet Erin, a dedicated educator who not only followed in her aunt's footsteps but also chose to teach alongside her at Miles Exploratory Learning Center K-8. Having once been a student in her aunt's middle school class, Erin has now spent the last nine years collaborating and teaching with her cherished aunt as her mentor.
In Erin's own words, "My Aunt was actually one of my middle school teachers when I attended Miles! We have worked together for the past 9 years; collaborating and teaching social studies together! My Aunt is an educator I really admire, and I feel so fortunate I get to work and learn from her each day!"
Patty, Erin's aunt and colleague, expresses her excitement about Erin joining the team at Miles: "I was so excited when Erin joined our team at Miles. She is an alumna of Miles and a strong and caring teacher. Her expectations for her students and herself are at the highest level. I am so proud of her daily, and it has been a joy and privilege to collaborate with her for the past nine years. Congratulations on renewing your National Board certification!"

Our Miles Scholastic Book Fair starts tomorrow, January 17th!

Each class will be able to use their library time to look through and pick books and other items for purchase. Students are able to purchase books before and after school.

An eWallet is a new, digital payment option that gives students a secure, cash-free way to shop the fair. Parents can pre-authorize a spending amount online, which can be looked up or scanned at checkout. Scholastic.com/fair then look for Miles.

Be sure to attend curriculum night on Tuesday, January 23rd from 6:00-8:00 pm for a chance to win a $25 worth of book fair merchandise!

Our January Clothing Drive starts today, January 8th until Jan. 30th! Please help us collect much needed donations to help those in need! New or gently used items. Each Middle School classroom will have it's own blue bin inside their 1st period room for donations. All other donations are to be placed on the cart in the main hall west of the library. Thank you so much! If you are donating diapers, please ensure it is an unopened package. Any clothing, shoes, blankets, matching socks, hats, scarves, jackets....etc. would be extremely helpful!

Mustangs for Change is raising money by selling Hot Cocoa tomorrow and Wednesday morning. It is $1 per cup!

Find them by the cafeteria to buy a cup of delicious hot cocoa!

This Thursday, December 7th we are having another Mod pizza fundraiser! This event will take place all day at Mod pizza on Kino!

Bring in the flyer, order on the app with the code or tell them you are there supporting Miles!!

We are fundraising for a Miles school mascot and hope to see you there!

Don't forget to turn in your receipts to your child's teacher, the class who brings in the most receipts will win a class prize!

December 16th 11am-1pm is a fun 'Winter Playdate' event for families to attend! This event will have interpreters for all of our Deaf and HOH students!
This event will have snacks, crafts and more!
