⛈️Thunderstorm activity will be on the increase through the remainder of the week across much of southeastern Arizona. Moisture from Tropical Storm Marie will boost thunderstorm chances (with day to day variability), especially Thursday into the weekend. Any thunderstorm may bring a risk of flash flooding as well as gusty winds and lightning.

Tropical Storm Marie is currently centered well to the south of Baja and will be moving northwestward over the next few days. As it moves northward moisture will be on the increase starting Thursday into the weekend. This will likely lead to an increase in thunderstorm activity and a risk for heavy rainfall and flash flooding.

Expect scattered thunderstorms this afternoon and evening across southeast Arizona. Storms will be capable of strong to severe wind gusts and heavy rainfall leading to flash flooding. Best chances for heavy rainfall will be from central Pima County to western Graham and Cochise Counties. There is also a chance for nocturnal activity tonight.

At 7:35 pm MST, showers and thunderstorms over the Rincon Mountains were pushing west towards the Tucson Metro area. The storms are developing along an outflow boundary. Winds will shift around to an easterly directly with gusts to around 20 mph with the passage of the outflow boundary.

Flash Flood Watch in effect from 11 am MST Saturday through 5 am MST Monday. Increasing moisture is expected to produce an active period of thunderstorms across portions of southeast Arizona. The thunderstorms may last late into the night both Saturday and Sunday night. Turn around, don't drown.
