Be sure to provide your input by tonight before the survey closes!

Pima Association of Governments (PAG) has launched the “Shape Your Transportation Future” survey, which allows community members to share their transportation priorities and experiences, and where you believe PAG should apply its transportation funding resources for the next 30 years.

Results will inform development of the 2055 Regional Mobility and Accessibility Plan. As the federally required metropolitan planning organization for the greater Tucson region, PAG must update this long-range transportation plan every four years to annually secure millions of dollars in federal funding for essential transportation improvements in the region. Your input matters!

You can learn more and take the brief survey at: www.PAGregion.com/2055.

The survey, which is less than 10 minutes, is available in English and Spanish.

On this National Bike to Work Day, we want to highlight Ward 1 Councilmember and Vice Mayor Lane Santa Cruz. Vice Mayor Santa Cruz can be seen riding around town and showing us that Bike to Work Day isn't just one day but can be every day! From holding space on Tucson's west and south sides for group bike rides with FUGA- Familias Unidas Ganando Accesibilidad, hosting bike repair clinics out of the Ward 1 Office and cleanups along shared use paths with Barrio Restoration, and being the Councilmember who motioned to add Mobility to the mission and name of the Department of Transportation. Whether you can get out and ride a bike to work today or not, remember you can choose to try any day of the week!

Riding your bike to lunch is a great way to get some physical activity in your workday if glued to a desk or working remotely. Tomorrow is National Bike to Work Day! Ann from Housing and Community Development is already used to pedaling to work most days. Here at the Community Resource Campus, new bike parking racks were recently installed just outside the office to accommodate the growing need from bike commuters getting to work! Those commuting to work by bike should have secure and easy to access parking opportunities at their destination. If your workplace or frequented destination needs bike parking, reach out to us here: tucsonaz.gov/bicycle/bike-parking
