Catalina will issue students a school laptop and charger this Thursday and Friday, August 13th and 14th. Many of you have already signed a Technology Use Agreement through Parent Vue when you logged in.

The laptop is for academic purposes only, and we expect students to use it responsibly both at school and at home. The Technology Use Agreement you and your student sign outlines the rules and expectations for device care and appropriate online behavior. Your student will also be going over this in class this week.

Key points of the agreement include:
Proper Care: Students are responsible for the physical condition of their device.
Responsibility for damages/loss: Students agree they or their guardian will
report theft, loss of the device or damage to the device immediately to the school that issued it and the student/guardian is responsible for paying for any necessary repairs or
replacement resulting from intentional damage/loss due to negligence or abuse.
Safety: Students must adhere to safe and legal online practices.
Privacy: Students should respect the privacy of others and their personal
information.

Our goal is to create a safe and effective learning environment for everyone. We believe these devices, when used properly, will be a great asset to your student's education. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school's front office at 520-232-8400.
