🏀✨ A Big Win for Our Quail Run Students! ✨🏀
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our families and the hard work of our PTF, our back field basketball court has officially been expanded from a half court to a full-size basketball court!
This exciting improvement was made possible through fundraising efforts and the continued support of our Quail Run community. Our students now have even more opportunities to stay active, build teamwork, develop skills, and enjoy outdoor recreation during the school day and beyond.
Thank you to our Quail Run Elementary PTF & 21st CCLC Quasar Academy and every family who participated in fundraising events throughout the year. Your support directly impacts our students and helps create meaningful experiences and opportunities for all.
Together, we are making Quail Run an even better place to learn, play, and grow!

🚧✨ Exciting Safety & Accessibility Improvement at Quail Run! ✨🚧
We are thrilled to share another campus enhancement designed with our students, families, and community in mind! Our new safety gate has been installed at the back field, featuring a secure roller gate and improved accessibility for all students and visitors.
At Quail Run Elementary, we remain committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every student can thrive.

KGUN features Marana Cares Mobile, serving hot lunches in two locations!

This summer, Marana Cares Mobile is serving hot and nutritious lunches to all children under the age of 18 at two locations in the community. A special to Amber from MUSD Food Services for speaking with KGUN9, and ensuring meals are great and ready-to-go. Yesterday, kids had orange chicken on white rice, pineapple, veggies with ranch, and milk. The air conditioned bus runs year-round during breaks and when school is not in session to ensure kids have access to healthy meals.

📅May 26 – July 24, 2026. No service on July 3. Students must eat lunch on the bus.

It’s time to register your youngest learner for Kindergarten for the upcoming school year at !

Families are encouraged to register their incoming kindergarten students as soon as possible to help schools prepare classrooms, staffing, transportation, and support services for a successful start to the year.

If you are new to MUSD, you will need to create a ParentVUE account and provide required documentation to begin enrollment. Current Families can enroll kinder students with an existing ParentVUE account.

Uncovering the History of Marana Schools

In this year’s issue of the Horizon, the District's print magazine, we dug into the history of Marana Schools over the past 115 years. From scattered board-and-canvas classrooms serving railroad and farming communities, to the Marana High School we know it today opening in 1975 way off Emigh Road, to junior high students being the first class of students to enroll at Mountain View in the late 80s, our history highlights the good that can happen when communities support their local public K-12 schools.
