This morning, U.S. News & World Report released its high school rankings, and University High School is ranked #50 out of 17,945 schools in the nation!

This is a tremendous jump from our ranking of #91 in the nation last year, among roughly the same number of schools.

We are also ranked #6 in Arizona, moving ahead of four of the state’s BASIS schools.

Congratulations to our incredible students, families, teachers, staff, and everyone who supports University High School in all of our endeavors and successes! This achievement is a reflection of the dedication, hard work, and commitment of our entire UHS community.🎉

University High School will continue doing what we do best: providing a world-class education to world-class students.🐧

A remarkable achievement for Royce Yao!🥇

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Royce Yao, who graduated from University High School in May 2026, for an extraordinary achievement at the 2026 International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO).

Representing the United States as one of just six members of Team USA, Royce earned an individual Gold Medal, finishing 13th overall among 660 of the world’s brightest young mathematicians.

This remarkable accomplishment places Royce among the top young mathematical talents in the world — an incredible recognition of his hard work, dedication, and exceptional ability.

And there’s even more to celebrate: Team USA earned 2nd place in the world, finishing just behind China in the team standings.

Congratulations, Royce, on this incredible accomplishment! We are so proud to celebrate your success on the world stage.🌍️
