Drill Weekend Recap
On Saturday June 6th NRC Tucson had the pleasure of frocking its newest E5 and E6 petty officers AM1 Harrison, AWF1 Lance, MA2 Partidaarenas, HM2 Bolivar and HM2 Gibbs. MA3 Askew was awarded a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for completing 40 funeral honors in FY26. In addition, Sailors from the funeral team were presented a Letter of Appreciation for rendering honors for fallen sailor, Seaman Caleb Rider. Congratulations to all the Frockees and Awardees for all your hard work and a job well done.
On Sunday, June 7th, NRC Tucson's knowledgeable staff conducted Indoc training for newly affiliated Reservists. The training provided an overview of command expectations, available resources, administrative requirements, and mission readiness, helping new members successfully integrate into the Reserve community. This valuable introduction equipped Reservists with the information needed to begin their careers at NRC Tucson and contribute effectively to the command's mission. Welcome aboard!
In early celebration of the Hospital Corpsman Birthday, NMRTC Tucson personnel gathered early in the morning for a commemorative hike, fostering camaraderie, esprit de corps, and physical readiness. Participants enjoyed the scenic trail while reflecting on the proud legacy, dedication, and service of Navy Hospital Corpsmen throughout history. The event provided an opportunity for staff to honor the Corpsman community, strengthen team bonds, and celebrate the invaluable contributions Corpsmen make to the Navy and Marine Corps team.
