None the less that never stops the amazing folks in the shop!
For the month of April, we have Senior Airman Tristan Markel as our Warrior of the Month! SrA. Markel, Program Manager, generates and coordinates all Special Certification Items within the flight, has improved the squadrons 'No Shows' by 87.5% for all classes and trainings, developed a multi reminder system and shop schedule input - recorded 0 missed appointments in 57 classes, as well as mitigated multiple members overdue certs!

Congratulations and a round of applause for SrA. Markel! Very impressive and a job well done!!

Outside of work, Airman First Class and Master Sargent ranks don't mean anything. A view like this? Means absolutely everything! Can't beat a good hike with a reward too good to pass up towering over the city of Tucson. What are you doing with your free Friday?
MSgt. Fred Sawyer, little Marc representing his father, A1C Tyler Mcfarland, and A1C Nathaniel Eng hiked Tumamoc Hill, a 3.1 mile trail gaining nearly 800 ft. in elevation. Absolutely gorgeous!

Speaking of awards! May I present to all of you our 355th CMS awards winners!! Personnel from flight leadership down to airmen completing maintenance on the floor have gone above and beyond rest of their peers to put our section ahead of the rest! We couldn't be more proud to have each one of you as our leaders in the fight for keeping planes in the air! All of you may say that it's because of the airmen and NCO's on the floor alone that cause this recognition.. Hey we are gonna stop you from complementing us, however we couldn't do it without you either!
When you see these individuals make sure to give them an air five and congratulate them on their award! Let's see if we get some more in this next fiscal year of 2021!! Go Eagles!!

Weighing in at roughly 2,700 lbs with an output of 19,600 ft/lbs, with unequivocal versatility not only for the United States Air Force, but all service branches of this great nation. The mightiest of all the torque in the TurboProp world. It's the T56!! These maintainers have quite the work cut out for them. An engine that can literally swallow you and props that might just "wash" you away!!
Never forget MFE! It's always "Within Limits"

Big shout out to the 355th CMS Test Cell section for the hard work these maintainers do. Rain, snow, or hundred degree weather.. They are always throwing engines on the test stand, verifying countless variables, and troubleshooting issues to meet the needs for turning out engines.

If you ever worked test cell please feel free to comment below with photos or stories that show how truly awesome these engines really are! (Obviously appropriate)

Some of the many aspects that the 355th Propulsions Flight have the pleasure being a part of on a daily basis. From inducting an engine fresh off the line, completing maintenance little or extensive then to finally getting to see these absolutely astounding machines be tested and troubleshooted on the bench. Proud to be maintainers for the worlds greatest Air Force!!
