🔥 Three Points Fire District is proud to recognize our firefighters! 🔥

The Three Points Fire District, along with our interagency agreement partner, the Avra Valley Fire District, deployed a crew of four firefighters on our Type 6 brush truck to assist with wildland firefighting efforts in Oregon.

Our crew completed a total of 14 days on assignment, working hard alongside other fire agencies to help protect communities and battle wildfires.

We are extremely proud of our firefighters and their accomplishments! Their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to serving others are a true reflection of what it means to be a firefighter.

Today, our crew returned home safely. They’ll now enjoy two well-deserved days of R&R before getting back to it.

After 24 years of dedicated service, today we honor the retirement of Captain Lane Young.

For more than two decades, Captain Lane Young answered the call with courage, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to protecting our community. Through countless emergencies, long shifts, and challenging moments, he led by example, mentored the next generation of firefighters, and earned the respect of everyone fortunate enough to serve alongside them.

The fire service is more than a career—it's a calling. Captain Lane's legacy will be measured not only by the lives they helped save, but by the leadership, professionalism, and compassion they brought to the job every day.

Thank you for 24 years of sacrifice, dedication, and service. Congratulations on a well-earned retirement. May this next chapter bring you happiness, good health, and plenty of time to enjoy the rewards of a remarkable career.

🌧️ Monsoon storms can develop quickly and cause dangerous flash flooding. Even if it’s not raining where you are, floodwaters can rise rapidly from storms miles away.

Stay Weather Aware

* Monitor local weather alerts.
* Have multiple ways to receive emergency warnings.
* Be prepared to leave low-lying areas if flooding threatens.

Flash Flood Safety Tips

🚫 Never drive through flooded roads.
Turn Around, Don’t Drown®—as little as 12 inches of moving water can carry away a vehicle.

🚶 Avoid walking through floodwaters.

* Water may be deeper than it appears.
* Hidden debris, strong currents, and washed-out roads can be deadly.

🏠 Protect Your Home

* Move valuables to higher ground.
* Secure outdoor furniture and equipment.
* Keep emergency supplies, flashlights, batteries, food, water, and medications ready.

⚡ During Severe Storms

* Stay indoors and away from windows.
* Avoid using electrical appliances during lightning.
* If you are camping or in a wash, move immediately to higher ground.
