St Francis Shelter

St Francis Shelter St Francis Shelter is located at Sacred Heart Church in Tucson Arizona

As of February 29, 2020, we St. We have a winter and a summer program.

Francis Men's and Women's cooling center was the project of Franciscan Ministries. Since 2015, it has been hosted by Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tucson, AZ. In the winter we offer a meal and an overnight rest. In the summer we act as a daytime cooling center and open our doors each day at 11:30am and offer a cool place to rest and hospitality. Dinner is served at 4:30-5:30pm. Francis Shelter i

s low-demand, which means that we welcome you as you are. All we ask of our guests is that they stay respectful of the space, our neighbors, shelter hosts, and your fellow guests. We are able to host fifty or more men and women, seven days per week, and that includes a nice dinner. We thank you for your generous support to keep the shelter running year after year. The budget for the summer shelter is about about $3 per guest, per day. With no dedicated funding source, we do humbly rely on our friends and partners in the community to continue to provide this essential service during cold winter months and the scalding heat of the Sonoran desert summer. If you are able to donate, please know that every dollar is used to facilitate the needs of our guests. We are all volunteers and there are no salaries. Every little bit goes a long way. Thank you for visiting our page! Please like and follow us so that we can keep you posted and spread the word.
