As we close out National Salvation Army Week, we reflect on more than 150 years of service, compassion, and hope. ❤️

What began as ministering to people living in poverty on the streets of London in 1865 has now become William and Catherine Booth's worldwide legacy and mission dedicated to serving neighbors in need without discrimination.

From disaster response and emergency shelter to youth programs, food assistance, and spiritual care, The Salvation Army continues to meet human needs in communities across the world and right here in the Southwest Division.

Thank you for being part of this mission and for helping us continue to Give with Joy every single day.

Community partnership and compassion were at the heart of the UNS Meet Yourself event and the 29th annual Tucson Electric Power company BBQ! ☀️🌭

Two members of the Social Services team from The Salvation Army Tucson attended the event to help promote Project HOPE, a program that encourages TEP employees to support the HEERO utility assistance program through one-time donations or payroll deductions.

At their table during the event, the team educated employees about the importance of the program and how those donations directly help The Salvation Army Tucson TEP customers facing financial hardships with their utility bills. Every contribution made through Project HOPE and HEERO helps provide critical assistance to neighbors in need throughout Southern Arizona.

We are grateful for our continued partnership with UNS/TEP and for the employees who choose to give back and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. ❤️

Today was truly a special day at The Salvation Army Tucson Hospitality House. We were honored to welcome students and staff from Intermountain Academy, who delivered generous donations of clothing and food to help support our unsheltered neighbors in need. ❤️

Following their donation, the sociology class, accompanied by their teacher and teacher aides, toured our Hospitality House to see firsthand how their kindness impacts the lives of the guests we serve every day.

What followed was an unforgettable experience filled with laughter, smiles, pictures, stories, and meaningful conversations. The students also presented us with handmade notecards thanking The Salvation Army for serving our community, a gesture that deeply touched our hearts.

Moments like these remind us that compassion, understanding, and human connection can make a lasting impact on everyone involved. Thank you, Intermountain Academy, for your generosity, kindness, and for spending part of your day with us. You made a difference in more ways than one. 💛

❤️ What a wonderful celebration of National Salvation Army Week at The Salvation Army Tucson Hospitality House!

We were honored to welcome Tucson Vice Mayor Lane Santa Cruz as she presented an official City of Tucson proclamation 📜 recognizing National Salvation Army Week and the impact The Salvation Army continues to make in our community.
