Today we honor and celebrate those who have given their lives in service to our country.🇺🇸

Chair Allen was privileged to ride in the Tucson Estates Memorial Day parade hosted by American Legion Post 102, AMVETS Post 770, and Tucson Estates Property Owners Association (TEPOA). Thanks to the Tucson Estates community and all the organizers for a wonderful event this morning!

District 3 joined the protest yesterday outside the ICE field office to demand the immediate release of Karla Toledo. Karla is a legal resident and DACA recipient who was ripped from her home by ICE agents and detained without cause.

Thank you repgrijalva for using your power to demand access to the facility to confirm Karla’s wellbeing. It meant a great deal to everyone there that you were on the ground fighting for her release.

And thanks to those in the community who showed up to remind ICE that they can’t kidnap our neighbors and think we won’t notice. We will not stand for it.

To report ICE activity, reach out to the Community Rapid Response Team at (520) 221-4077

💯 On Wednesday, May 6th, Chair Allen spoke at a ribbon cutting event to mark the completion of Sunset Links bridge, connecting Silverbell to River road via Sunset. This project has been decades in the making, first appearing on shortlists for the 1997 county bond program before ultimately being adopted as part of RTA in 2006. 20 years later, we’re celebrating it’s completion along with with major upgrades to the Chuck Huckleberry Loop.
