NMSU Quay County CES Check out the Quay County Extension Office for 4-H and adult education, information and programs.

The Quay County Extension Service works with a variety of organizations and hundreds of volunteers to conduct programming in Quay County in the areas of Agriculture, Home Economics, and Youth Development. In addition we work in community and economic development to help improve the communities in Quay County.

Thank you to everyone who came out to Nara Visa for the community meeting to discuss the recent fires in Quay County. Representatives from several government agencies such as FSA, NRCS, Soil and Water Conservation districts, Homeland Security, Southwest Boarder Protection and Emergency Preparedness Center, USDA, NMSU CES, Quay County Emergency Management, State Representative Jack Chatfield, and State Senator Pat Woods participated in a panel discussion of resources to help those affected by the recent fires and to answer questions. Community members affected by the recent wildfires are invited to attend a Community Wildfire Support Meeting on May 28th at the Old School House in Nara Visa beginning at 4:00 PM.
The meeting will provide information on available assistance programs, discuss options, and government resources. We encourage anyone impacted by the wildfires to attend.

Summer is gearing up to be a fun one for all our Rodeo & Horse Project Members! Amber Watson will be hosting a practice day for all our horse and rodeo project members on June 5th at 6 pm at the Quay County Fairgrounds. Playdays are open to non 4-H members, but you must be in rolled in the 4-H Rodeo Project to enter the Quay County 4-H Rodeo!
