At the Commission Meeting on August 13, the city commission enacted a 3rd suspension of water service disconnections.
This suspension will continue till December 31. However, late fees will still be applied to each month that payments are not made.
We ask that you still continue to make your payments as scheduled.
In January 2027 disconnects and associated fees will resume as normal.

Remembering Coach Span

Our community lost a cornerstone. Coach Span wasn’t just a coach for the Tucumcari Rattlers, he was a mentor, a motivator, and a steady presence who shaped countless young lives over so many years.
He taught us far more than the game. He taught us grit, discipline, and how to carry ourselves with pride whether we won or lost. He believed in every one of his athletes, sometimes even before they believed in themselves. His encouragement didn’t stop at the field or the court; it followed us into our classrooms, our homes, and our futures.
What made Coach truly special was his heart. The Rattlers weren’t just his team; they were his family!
His legacy will live on in the lessons he gave, the confidence he built, and the community he helped strengthen. We’re better because of him, and we’ll carry his spirit forward in every game and every challenge.
Rest in peace, Coach. Thank you for everything. You’ll always be a Rattler! 💜💛

Current water bills are not yet printed or posted to customer accounts. We apologize for the delay. However, our system has experienced serious software issues since last week. Together with our vendors and the water department, we have been working diligently to restore full functionality so that we can get your billing completed. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The City of Tucumcari now has certified vector control personnel. Within the coming weeks, during the late evening and into the night, we will be spraying for mosquitos. If you have any questions, please call City Hall.
