I thank everyone for their support and even though I lost, my passion has not diminished. Our drop in student enrollment is a nationwide problem and is the main reason your taxes are going up. ..... and your current School Board has no strategy to rein this problem in. In fact, they deny it exists. Let that sink in.

I have been listening to parents and taxpayers in our district tell me our school board needs a course correction. They seem frustrated with where we have been heading. These constituents believe attending board meetings is futile and this is when the democratic process stops working. Having this much pressure build up in a system without resolution does not produce good outcomes.
Every town in our district has unique needs…. but interestingly, their concerns seem to be similar. They feel their voices have been ignored and change is necessary in our school district for our children to thrive.
My platform is focused on financial discipline, raising test scores and increasing transparency. I am asking for your vote on March 10th. Many thanks.

I am running for GWRSD school board because what I see and hear from the community has me concerned. Our proficiency scores are lack luster and the year-on-year budget increases are unsustainable. Some community leaders are entertaining proposals that risk dividing and fracturing our district. Additionally, current academic outcomes have prompted some parents to explore charter schools and homeschooling while closely monitoring potential open enrollment legislation. These realities don’t bode well for an already weakened system.

As a consultant and entrepreneur in manufacturing and International business, I understand the competitive landscape this next generation will need to navigate. So I ask have we truly set a standard of excellence that reflects the world our students are entering? Isn’t that our responsibility?

It is time for a fearless vision and urgent action to change a fixed mindset holding the GWRSD School Board and district back. I will be the voice to a system that has grown more comfortable managing problems than solving them. I am not running to tear down systems - I am running to realign them. We have the right people, but weak standards, the right resources but the wrong priorities. We share the same future, now it’s time we move forward together, united in purpose and direction.
