Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Spring Egg Hunt! 🐣🌷

We had an egg-cellent time and truly appreciate the strong turnout. It was great to see so many families and community members out enjoying the event together.

We are excited to confirm that the pool will be reopening at 12:00 PM today, January 9th. We will follow a regular schedule upon reopening.

There will still be swimming lessons, Mako Sharks, lap swim, and water aerobics this evening.

The Tukwila Pool's Giving Tree is here! 🎄

Join us this holiday season in supporting water safety and swim access for all youth in our community. Donations to the Giving Tree directly fund our Tukwila Resident & Mako Sharks Swim Club scholarships, ensuring that every child has the chance to learn to swim, build confidence, and stay safe in the water.

From January-November 2025, we awarded over $7,000 in scholarships, thanks to our generous community. This year our goal is to raise $5,000 to continue expanding access to swim lessons and team participation.

Two weeks ago, the Tukwila Pool MPD asked our community to share stories and voice support for the site where the Tukwila Pool currently sits. This was because the Tukwila School District was considering potentially selling district-owned property, and the TPMPD would have been interested in purchasing the property that the Tukwila Pool leases from the School District to support the future development of the Tukwila Pool.

We want to extend our appreciation to everyone who spoke up at the School Board meeting or sent in written comments. Your voices truly reflect how much the Tukwila Pool means to our community.

While the School District ultimately voted not to sell any district-owned property, the Tukwila Pool is not closing. The pool will continue to operate on its current site for years to come while also exploring opportunities to purchase a property that aligns with our future development and vision for accessible water safety, swim lessons, recreation, and lifelong aquatic opportunities for all.

The Tukwila School District (TSD) Board of Directors will soon vote on November 25th on whether to explore the potential sale of district-owned property.

As a long-term tenant on Tukwila School District property, the Tukwila Pool Metropolitan Park District (TPMPD) is closely following this process. Should the district decide to move forward with a sale, the TPMPD would be interested in exploring the possibility of purchasing the property that the TPMPD currently operates.

We value our decades-long partnership with the district and remain dedicated to ensuring that this site continues to serve as a vital resource for the community.
