We have AMAZING neighbors in Tukwila! The last 2 days have been 🥵 but I want to thank my unofficial campaign manager (aka my wife) for keeping me company. Thank you to all those that took time to talk with me about issues in the city and what they love about Tukwila, and there is a lot to love. Look forward to meeting many more through the summer.

I came to this country with dreams, hope, and a belief that hard work could build a future. Today, as we celebrate Independence Day, I’m reminded of how much this land has given me — and how much I strive to give back.

An action packed day yesterday! I stopped by the Sikh temple to talk about the importance of civic engagement and how it’s the lifeblood of a healthy democracy! Afterwards we stopped by the Hindu temple where the celebration of Jagannath Rath Yatra(Chariot Festival) was in full swing! Also got some door belling done, in the Foster Point Neighborhood. Got to meet and chat with some neighbors abut their concerns mainly around public safety. In the evening I was invited by the Somali community to meet H.E. Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame (an MP in the somali government and presidential candidate. We truly live in a great country where we can freely practice our religion and create great diversity in our communities.
