Cultural Activities for Native Youth in foster care or adoptive/kinship homes-
Offer different activities throughout the year to help children to learn and stay connected to their culture. Largest event is Tribal Revival which takes place every August at Camano Island State Park. Consultation & Resource Referral -
Experienced social workers and foster parents offer consultation for foster, ad

optive and kinship families. Heartbeat makes recommendations to families on where they can find needed resources. Education -
Heartbeat provides various trainings for parents. Topics include: Ethnic Identity, Managing Stress and Self Care, Children's mental health issues, Special Education and working with schools.

Heartbeat Culture Camp & Garden 2024
Spring Clean Up

Saturday April 27th
11am – 3 pm
1911 Turk Road Tulalip
We are looking for volunteers to help us get ready for 2024
season. There are a few projects we could use help with.
Here are some of the projects we need help with.
Clearing and planting the new medical garden beds
Putting the new pool together and deck repairs
Painting the trim on camp kitchen
Burning wood and brush left from clearing the property
Clearing a trail through wooded area
Prepping open areas to plant grass
Building a fire pit and horseshoe pit
Putting swings on the play structure
Building a covered area for the outhouses
So much to do and the work can be overwhelming, we could use some help. We have continued
to expand and grow so we can continue to share our space with other groups, for cultural
gatherings/classes/retreats.

Please join us for the day.
At about 5pm we plan to have a potluck for anyone interested in staying
