Soroptimist International of Tulare at its Program Meeting welcomed and thanked Michelle Lawrence and Nicole Martin staffers at Grand Oaks Care Center providing information regarding their mission which is to provide compassionate, high quality care that promotes independence, dignity, and wellness for each of the residents. They also provide short term rehabilitation. Grand Oaks is the former Twin Oaks facility located on “M” Street, Tulare.

Darla McGrew of Evolutions was the guest speaker at SI Tulare’s Program Meeting and demonstrated “chair exercises” for strengthening one’s muscles. After our meeting, we put together sone back to school backpacks and delivered them to the Salvation to help out with their backpack drive.

Congratulations Soroptimist International of Tulare! At the Sierra Pacific Region Conference this past weekend of May 15-17 our club was awarded the “gold” medal for bringing in the most new members. Thank you Maria Santos-Silva for receiving the award on our behalf.
Congratulations to Linda Martin for the honor of becoming a member of the Laurel Society, a prestigious donor, for contributing charitable donations amounting to a total of $1,000.
We also congratulate Maria Santos- Silva for graduating from Soroptimist International Leadership Class.

This past Saturday, May 9, at Rusty Roots in Tulare, Soroptimist International of Tulare had an opportunity drawing for a Mother’s Day basket valued at over $200 and Wyatt Luther of Visalia won it and surprised his mom with this wonderful gift just in time for Mother’s Day. Congratulations Wyatt and thanks to all who supported our cause.
