September is National Cholesterol Education Month—a good time to learn more about an important part of heart health.

High cholesterol often has no symptoms, which means you may not know your levels are elevated without a blood test. Knowing your cholesterol numbers and discussing them with your healthcare provider can help you better understand your risk for heart disease and stroke.

Healthy eating, regular physical activity, maintaining a healthy weight, and following your provider’s recommendations can all play a role in managing cholesterol.

This September, Swisher Memorial Healthcare System encourages you to know your numbers and take steps toward a healthier heart.

September is Healthy Aging Month—a great reminder that healthy habits matter at every stage of life.

Healthy aging can start with simple choices: staying active, eating a balanced diet, getting enough sleep, keeping up with preventive screenings and checkups, and staying socially connected with family and friends.

At Swisher Memorial Healthcare System, we’re proud to help members of our community stay active, independent, and healthy throughout the years.
This September, take a little time to invest in your health—your future self will thank you!

September is here!
A new month is a great reminder that taking care of your health doesn’t have to mean making big changes all at once. A daily walk, an extra glass of water, a healthier meal, getting enough sleep, or scheduling that checkup you’ve been putting off can all add up.
As we welcome September, Swisher Memorial Healthcare System encourages you to make your health a priority—one small step at a time.
Here’s to a happy and healthy September!
