A big THANK YOU to Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling for donating an assortment of drinks to keep our Build Day volunteers refreshed and hydrated! ❤️

Long days on the job site take a lot of helping hands, and a whole lot of hydration. We’re incredibly grateful for community partners who step up and help take care of the people helping us build homes. 🏠🔨

🔨🏠 BUILD DAY #10
CHECK, CHECK & CHECK!
Another BIG day of progress on our Habitat home! 💙

Today our crew:
🔨 Finished roofing for the soffit
🪟 Cut out the window & door openings
🛁 Installed the tubs
🚽 Completed plumbing for the toilets
🔥 Roughed in plumbing for the water heater
It’s the behind-the-walls work that may not always look exciting in pictures, but every pipe, cut, nail and install gets us one step closer to handing a family the keys to HOME. 🏡💙

Build Day #10 is officially in the books! And this house is moving right along. 🙌

Meet the Team Tuesday

Jasen Staton, Construction Manager

Jasen Staton joined Habitat for Humanity in 2019 with Rutherford County Habitat before becoming Highland Rim Habitat's Construction Manager in 2026. After leaving a successful corporate career, he felt called to pursue work with a greater purpose, helping families and strengthening communities through affordable homeownership.

What Jasen loves most about Middle Tennessee is the way people genuinely care for and support one another. That spirit of service is what makes this community feel like home.

Outside of Habitat, Jasen enjoys staying active, playing tennis, writing country music, and playing guitar. He recently earned his contractor's license and is launching Staton Custom Designs, combining his passion for craftsmanship and construction.

To Jasen, home means safety, peace, security, and a place where family, friends, and neighbors come together. He's proud to help build more than houses, he's helping build hope, one home at a time.

🏡 Learning together. Building together. Serving together. 💙🔨

Our Highland Rim Habitat for Humanity Board had the opportunity to spend some time with the USDA, receiving valuable training, updates, and information to help us continue strengthening the work we do in our community.

But they didn’t stop at the meeting table! 🙌 That afternoon, the USDA team traded paperwork for work gloves and joined us at the job site to volunteer on our current Habitat home. 🏠💪

We’re incredibly thankful for community partners who not only share their knowledge and resources, but are willing to roll up their sleeves and work right alongside us.
Thank you, USDA, for investing in our mission AND our build! 💙

🏠🔨 BUILD DAY #10 WE’RE CLOSING IT IN!
This house is looking more like a HOME with every single Build Day. ❤️

Today’s crew is getting to work on some pretty exciting progress:
🏠 Wrapping the exterior with v***r barrier to help protect the home
🪜 A little ladder work and a whole lot of stapling
🚪 Carefully installing and aligning the exterior doors
🪟 Setting, shimming & securing the windows
💪 Sealing everything up tight with expanding foam and caulk to help keep water OUT and comfort IN

There’s something pretty special about the day a house gets its doors and windows. Suddenly, you can really start to picture a family living inside these walls. 🥹❤️

NO experience is necessary! Our experienced volunteers will help show you what to do, and there are plenty of ways to lend a hand on a build site.
All you need is a willingness to learn, work alongside your neighbors, and help make a difference for a local family. ❤️

Today, we’re excited to have Team USDA joining us on the build site! 💪🏠

They’re trading their normal workday for hammers, ladders and a little job-site dirt as we work together to keep this Habitat home moving forward.

We’re incredibly thankful for community partners who are willing to show up, roll up their sleeves and get to work. ❤️

We've recently become aware of individuals claiming to represent Habitat for Humanity and offering home repair services that seem too good to be true.

Be cautious of anyone who:
- Promises free or heavily discounted home repairs without an application process.
- Requests payment, gift cards, banking information, or personal documents upfront.
- Uses the Habitat name, logo, or mission in a way that seems suspicious.
- Pressures you to act immediately or urgently.

Verify before you trust if someone claims to be from Habitat for Humanity. Contact your local affiliate directly before providing any information or making any payments.

Look for official communications information about Habitat's programs, services, and homeownership opportunities. Application periods will always be shared through official website and social media channels.

This week, we’re sending a HUGE thank you to Pike Saunders for donating a utility trailer to Highland Rim Habitat for Humanity! 🛠️🏠

This trailer gives our construction team a secure, convenient way to store and transport tools and supplies from jobsite to jobsite - and that is a BIG deal when you’re building homes with the help of volunteers.

Pike, thank you for seeing a need and stepping up to fill it. Your generosity will serve our builds, our volunteers, and local families for years to come. ❤️
