Although the election did not go in my favor, I am still deeply grateful for the opportunity to have participated in our democratic process. Elections are how our citizens make their voices heard, and while we may not always get the outcome we hoped for, I remain proud that the process works and that our community had the opportunity to choose its leadership.
I am incredibly proud of the work I have done over the past four years serving as your Alderman. It has been an honor and a privilege to represent Tullahoma, to ask the difficult questions, to advocate for transparency and accountability, and to always try to make decisions based on what I believed was best for our citizens and the future of our city.
To those who supported me, encouraged me, prayed for me, placed a sign in their yard, shared a post, or cast a vote for me—thank you. Your trust and support have meant more to me than I can adequately express.
I congratulate those who were elected, and I sincerely look forward to seeing the good things they will accomplish for Tullahoma. My prayer for each of them is that, through every decision and every challenge, they will remain true to their moral compass, seek wisdom, listen to our citizens, and always have the courage to do what is right—even when it is not the easiest or most popular choice.
Public service was never about a title for me. It was about serving a community I love. I leave this chapter proud of the work we accomplished, grateful for the people I met along the way, and hopeful for Tullahoma’s future.
