This evening, members participated in a joint training drill with the Tully and Apulia Fire Departments. Crews from all three departments worked together on low-angle rescue techniques, strengthening skills and teamwork. For some members, the training served as a valuable refresher, while others had the opportunity to learn and practice these techniques for the first time. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the training a success

This evening, members drilled low-angle rescue scenarios. They practiced a variety of raise and lower techniques while also refreshing their knot-tying skills. The training provided valuable hands-on experience and reinforced essential rescue fundamentals

(Dispatch) Dispatch ** 12:49 ** F-MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION-WITH ** OAK HILL RD ** - **

This afternoon Otisco Rescue was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision with possible injuries. Otisco RP2 took in the assignment. Units assisted with hazards and patient care. Members operated for roughly 30 minutes before returning to service.

This evenings drill focused on vehicle fires. Members were able to work through multiple evolutions throughout the night, gaining valuable hands-on experience and sharpening their skills.

Otisco was dispatched mutual aid to South Onondaga for a mvc early this morning. Otisco Cars 1/2/3 and RP2 took the assignment tending hazards and washing off the road. Units were back in service within the hour.

The 2026 NYS burn ban is over for now but please be mindful while burning

Refer to NYS DEC for any questions

Open burning is the single greatest cause of wildfires in NYS. Since the spring burn ban was implemented in 2009, the number of wildfires has decreased by more than 40%.
