🎆 REMEMBER FIREWORKS SAFETY ISN’T JUST A WARNING—IT’S REAL. 🎆

Every year, thousands of people are injured by fireworks, and children are among the most common victims.

Children under 15 account for approximately 35% to 40% of all fireworks-related injuries. Teenagers ages 15 to 19 have the highest injury rate, while children ages 5 to 9 have the second highest.

Unfortunately, this isn’t something that only happens somewhere else. We have a fireworks related call every year, last year, a young child in our area suffered a devastating fireworks injury that resulted in the loss of fingers. In a matter of seconds, a fun celebration turned into a life-changing event.

🚑 One moment of excitement can lead to a lifetime of consequences.

Before You Light That Fuse:

✅ Adult supervision is required.
✅ Keep children away from fireworks, including sparklers.
✅ Have a water hose and bucket nearby.
✅ Never relight a firework that fails to ignite.
✅ Keep spectators at a safe distance.
✅ Follow all local laws and burn restrictions.

Did You Know?

A sparkler can burn at temperatures exceeding 1,200°F to 2,000°F—hot enough to cause severe burns in seconds.

As firefighters, we’ve seen firsthand how quickly celebrations can turn into emergencies. We want everyone to enjoy the holiday and go home with all ten fingers, both eyes, arms, legs, toes and memories worth keeping.

Special thank you to Oklahoma 4-H for including us in this project!! It really spruced up the place !

A 13-year-old Tulsa gardener is helping celebrate the Route 66 Centennial by designing a new pollinator garden outside Fire Station 66. Through a partnership with Oklahoma 4-H and a Keep Oklahoma Beautiful grant, Nick Berry spent months researching and selecting native plants that will attract bees....

Tonight, Oklahoma City joins the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation for Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters ❤️

Landmarks across the city, including the Scissortail Bridge, will shine red in honor of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

This tribute represents the 137-year legacy of the Oklahoma City Fire Department and the firefighters we’ve lost in the line of duty. Their sacrifice continues to impact their families, our department, and the entire community.

We encourage everyone to take part, light your home red tonight and help us spread awareness.

We are so proud of our TaVianna Danielle the representing not only Tulsa Fire Department, Station 66 L66 A Dist 2A . She Won her match against a Bartlesville Police officer . 30-27 after three rounds!! In a unanimous decision at this years &andguns 2026.

Early Friday morning Station 66 along with Several other east side station responded to commercial building fire .

The Tulsa Fire Department are working to learn what caused a fire at a Pizza Hut in east Tulsa Friday morning.
