✨ “As He is, so are we in this world.” – 1 John 4:17
Some stories remind us why God calls us to serve.
Today we celebrate four incredible women, but this post is especially close to my heart because it marks the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another.
From left to right: Prophet Tamira, Ashley, Ellen, and Jody.
First, I want to honor Prophet Tamira for faithfully pouring into the women of Lifeship Suites through our 3-D (From Distress to Destiny) program. Thank you for counseling, discipling, praying, correcting, encouraging, and reminding each woman of who she is in Christ. Your ministry has helped lay a foundation that will continue long after these women leave our home.
Ashley…
It has been one of the greatest privileges to watch your life unfold.
You arrived at Lifeship Suites quiet, reserved, and carrying the weight of a difficult season. But somewhere along the journey, God began revealing the woman He always created you to be.
Little by little, your confidence grew.
Your smile became brighter.
Your voice became stronger.
Your faith became deeper.
You stopped simply surviving and started believing that you were worthy of the future God had prepared for you.
Today, you stand as a completely different woman.
Not because life suddenly became easy—but because you allowed God to transform your heart.
You accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
You chose to be baptized.
You remained committed to your recovery.
And today you celebrate more than nine months of sobriety—a milestone that represents countless daily decisions to choose healing, accountability, faith, and freedom.
I hope when you read this, you remember just how far you’ve come.
Never allow your past to speak louder than what God has already declared over your life.
You are not your addiction.
You are not your mistakes.
You are not your worst day.
You are a daughter of the King, redeemed by grace, strengthened through adversity, and walking boldly into your purpose.
Ellen…
What a beautiful testimony of God’s faithfulness.
You and Ashley met during recovery and became more than roommates or friends you became sisters.
You’ve laughed together, cried together, prayed together, held each other accountable, and reminded one another that quitting was never an option.
If someone met you today, they would never imagine the battles you’ve overcome.
Your friendship is living proof that healing happens in community and that God often places people in our lives exactly when we need them most.
Jody…
In only five months, we’ve watched you step outside of your comfort zone and embrace a new direction for your life. Your willingness to trust the process and continue moving forward reminds us that transformation begins with one faithful step at a time.
At Lifeship Suites, we don’t simply provide sober living.
We build family.
We restore identity.
We disciple women.
We speak life where shame once lived.
We remind every resident that addiction may have been part of their story, but it was never their identity.
The average stay in a women’s sober living program is often much shorter than the journeys these women have embraced. Remaining committed for months, choosing recovery every day, building healthy relationships, accepting Christ, and allowing God to transform your heart is something worth celebrating.
Ashley… watching you prepare to leave is bittersweet.
We will miss your smile (you know that silly 🤪 face you make without your… (nevermind), imma miss your heart, your quiet strength, and the woman you’ve become.
But this is exactly why Lifeship Suites exists.
Not to keep women here forever but to help launch them into the life God has always intended for them.
Thank you for trusting us with your journey.
Thank you for allowing us to witness God’s work in your life.
We couldn’t be more proud of you.
Keep walking with Jesus.
Keep choosing freedom.
Keep becoming.
Because as He is…
So are you in this world. ❤️
