"Every kid needs to know how to break an egg."
At first glance, it sounds like a lesson about cooking, but it's really a lesson about confidence.
When a child learns to crack an egg, they're learning to follow directions solve problems, recover from mistakes and believe they can do something new. Those small moments become the building blocks for bigger life skills.
At Youth At Heart. We believe learning doesn't stop when the school bell rings whether the students are cooking a meal building a bridge, planting a garden, creating art, coding, or holding a tennis racket for the first time they're developing resilience, teamwork, creativity, responsibility, and independence.
Because one day they'll need to do much more than break an egg they'll need to navigate challenges, make thoughtful decisions, care for themselves and others and build a future they're proud of.
That's why we create opportunities for kids to learn by doing every activity is another chance to discover a new skill, build character and realize, "I can do this!"
Sometimes the most important lessons begin with something as simple as breaking an egg.
