Tulsa Crime Stoppers A Tulsa-based 501(c)3 non-profit providing valuable crime prevention services to residents and public safety providers in greater Tulsa.

The mission of the Crime Prevention Network, doing business as Tulsa Crime Stoppers, is to provide valuable crime prevention education and safety awareness services to residents and public safety providers in the greater Tulsa area. Tulsa Crime Stoppers is an anonymous crime reporting hotline offering cash rewards for reporting criminal activity in Tulsa and surrounding counties. Since its incepti

on, Crime Stoppers has been directly responsible for the solution of over 6,200 felony cases and boosts an 85% arrest rate based on the tips received. More than $12 million in stolen property and narcotics has been recovered and the organization has has committed over $450,000 in rewards. Currently we receive over 3,600 tips per year. Training is also provided through the Alert Neighbor program to train citizen patrols to help keep neighborhoods safe. Since its inception in 1980, well over a million residents in the Tulsa area have received this training. The Alert Neighbor program enlists citizen participation in crime prevention through neighborhood meetings where safety in the home and neighborhood are emphasized. In addition, Tulsa Crime Stoppers has two programs focusing on young people. Project Trust is a multi-faceted project designed to build trust of police officers in our communities. Officers go into classrooms for 6 weeks. They will have demonstrations and talk with students about police work. Tulsa Police Reading Patrol and our Book Nooks have officers going into schools and/or apartment complexes and reading with kids. Our Book Nooks are placed in many apartment complexes overinflated free books to kids. With the support of law enforcement, media, and the community, together we will create a safe place to live, work and play!

🚨 FOUR TEENS SHOT — 16-YEAR-OLD SUSPECT ON THE RUN

Four teenagers, ages 15, 16, 17 and 18, were shot early Friday morning near Latimer Place and N. 73rd East Avenue. All four are expected to survive.

Tulsa Police say it started after one of the teens caught someone on video breaking into his home and stealing several items. He and a group of friends went to confront the suspected burglar — a 16-year-old who lives nearby.

Police say when the groups met in the street, the 16-year-old pulled out a gun and opened fire, hitting all four teens.

The suspected shooter ran from the area and has not been found. Police believe he is still armed and should be considered dangerous.

Police didn’t publicly ID the suspect, but they ask if you have info on the case and might know where he is to contact Tulsa Crime Stoppers.

Here’s the Thing — courage deserves recognition.

Tulsa Crime Stoppers’ Hero of the Day program honors individuals whose actions make our community safer and inspire others through courage, selflessness, and service.

This month, we were proud to recognize Broken Arrow Police Officer Zach Vick for his life-saving actions in rescuing a child from a pond.

In addition to the Hero of the Day award, Officer Vick received gifts from several of our generous community partners:

🚗 Complimentary car detail from Bill Knight Ford
🍔 Gift card from McNellie’s Group
⛽ Gift card from QuikTrip

Congratulations, Officer Vick, and thank you to our community partners for helping us recognize those who step up when it matters most.

Here’s the Thing — building trust starts long before any emergency.

Through the Tulsa Police Reading Patrol, officers spend time reading with children and building positive relationships before they’re ever needed on a call.

It’s one more way Tulsa Crime Stoppers is investing in a safer, stronger community.
