Michigan said: “Why have one balloon festival… when we can have a sky full of them?” 🎈😭🌤️

If you thought hot air balloons were just a random once-a-year thing… Michigan would like a word. 💀
Because from late spring through early fall, this state basically turns into one giant floating postcard.

You’ve got: 🎈 Frankenmuth filling the sky over Bavarian rooftops
🎈 Howell launching balloons like it’s a competitive sport
🎈 Battle Creek going full air show mode with planes AND balloons
🎈 Jackson bringing classic Hot Air Jubilee energy
🎈 Midland casually mixing river days with giant floating fire orbs
🎈 Kalamazoo, Bay Harbor, Wayland, Hudsonville… because apparently everybody wants in 😭

Michigan residents already know the routine: • wake up at an unreasonable hour because balloon launches happen at sunrise 🌅
• check weather obsessively because one gust cancels everyone’s plans 💀
• take 847 identical sky photos anyway 📸
• stand in a field holding overpriced lemonade
• pretend you’re “just staying for an hour” and leave 9 hours later 😭

And if you’ve never experienced a balloon glow at night?
That magical moment where dozens of balloons light up like giant floating lanterns while everybody collectively says “WOW” like it’s their first time?

Yeah… worth it. 🎈✨

Because in Michigan, summer isn’t complete until you’ve: got sunburned in a lawn chair ☀️
eaten festival food you absolutely didn’t need 🍿
and stared into the sky watching enormous rainbow balloons drift over cornfields like it’s totally normal. 💙
