๐ฑ๐ฅ Growing More Than Just Vegetables! ๐
๐ซ
At Wyoming County Special Needs Association, our beautiful garden is producing more than a delicious harvestโit's helping our clients grow valuable life skills every day.
From planting seeds and watering the garden to pulling weeds and harvesting fresh vegetables, our clients are learning where food comes from while building responsibility, teamwork, patience, and independence. They're also learning about healthy eating and have the opportunity to take home the fresh produce they've helped grow to prepare meals with their families. There's nothing quite like the pride that comes from harvesting food you've grown yourself!
Our garden has become something special for our staff, too. On busy days, you'll often find staff taking a few quiet moments to walk through the garden, check on the vegetables, or simply enjoy the peaceful space. It has become a therapeutic place that brings a little joy, reduces stress, and reminds us all of the incredible things that can grow with a little care and patience.
We're so proud of all the hard work our clients and staff have put into this garden, and we can't wait to see what the rest of the season brings. ๐ฝ๐
