📢 Reminder: Special Election Tomorrow! 🗳️

Don’t forget—there’s a special election happening tomorrow, Tuesday, August 5th, 2025, to fill the House of Representatives District 16 seat following redistricting.

District 16 includes parts of Lee, Pontotoc, Monroe, and Chickasaw County!

There will only be a Democratic primary, so this is your only chance to vote for your Representative!

To find out if you're included in the redistricting, check the map link posted in the comments on this post.

Since this is a state election, you will vote at your county precinct, not the municipal locations.

Make your voice heard. Every vote matters! ✅

Due to the 2020 census, the voting wards and precincts for Tupelo municipal elections have been updated as a result of redistricting. Please plan your primary and general voting early, and make sure you know which polling location you will be voting at. "There is “a large untapped population of Democrats” in Lee County. He believes the issue is that many have become disaffected by politics in general. He added he believes multiple seats will remain viable for Democratic candidates in the future.

“We have a great base of support here; it is just a lot of work grow that,” he said, adding that getting a candidate elected isn’t just about a suitable candidate but also energizing grassroots support.
